ANNOUNCEMENT & a natter!
I'm quite enjoying chatting to you through the medium of my blog! My last blog post (Singer. Songwriter.) got lots of positive comments and opinions on my social media profiles, which was so great to read/hear. It also generated lots of interest, as I've noticed a few more subscribers have popped up (so a big shout out to you if this has been emailed especially to your inbox!)
I wanted to put into writing some BIG NEWS.
I am finally releasing my new single 'Hurricane'. I've been teasing this song since the end of July/beginning of August. Since then, I have really taken time to ensure that the master was right and as an independent artist, I have also been looking into the best way to distribute my single.
So here it is...
FRIDAY 13TH OCTOBER 2017
Available via all major online retailers such as iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play, Shazam (can I just say how cool I think it is that it'll be on Shazam? Just like "Oh one sec, let me just Shazam this track").
It will be available worldwide.
So that is my big news! I hope you'll support me as you did with "Fairytales". Buy it, Stream it, Like it, Share it far and wide with all of your friends/family!
Also while I'm here, I'd just like to share my excitement about the Lady Antebellum 'You Look Good Tour' that I was lucky enough to get tickets for in Manchester on Wednesday! Brett Young, Kelsea Ballerini and Lady A were just incredible... and the atmosphere was amazing; a room filled with country music fans who were all there to sing along (I posted some videos of me singing along loudly on my Instagram!).
Seeing Kelsea Ballerini in particular was just amazing. I've followed her music for a couple of years now and have been a huge fan ever since I first discovered her. As previously discussed on my last blog post, on my "Fairytales" album, I have a couple of tracks that are country, but in general the album was very eclectic. Kelsea's music and the general direction in which modern country music has gone, really inspired me to focus on this genre completely. So to be able to see her, Brett and Lady A live was just incredible and felt like things had really come around full circle for me.
'Hurricane' is contemporary country, wrapped in a pop influenced production. I've worked hard on this track and the writing has really come from the heart. I have also wrote this one totally alone so it feels like my baby.
So, mark it in the calendar. Friday 13th October (Lets make it lucky).
Make sure you let me know when you've bought it, listened to it, what you think etc. Post screenshots of you listening to it, tag me in it, just help me push it!
I hope you like it and thank you all so much for your support.
You. Are. Awesome.
